About Earl Chapman
Earl Chapman, was born in the beautiful country of Barbados. Shortly after, he moved to another Caribbean Island, St. Lucia, and then to the United States. He spent parts of his childhood in Brooklyn, NY and Manhattan’s Upper West Side. In his teens, Earl relocated to Canada, where he received the rest of his education, built his life, and ventured into entrepreneurship. Today, he keeps roots in all these countries through his international business development work.
In his early career, Earl created over $130M in enterprise value by building Bell Canada’s Internet Service Providers Network from the ground up. Shortly after, while working at Tucows International, he created an ICANN-accredited domain registrar. This led him to recruit over 1,500 resellers to retail domains for .com, .net, and .org TLD and grow Tucows’s revenues from $0 to $21M in six months (January–June 2000). These early years gave Earl the skills and confidence to branch off on his own.
In 2001, Earl finally leaped into entrepreneurship. First, he represented Register.com’s domain name business development. Then, he obtained a license to distribute and manufacture biodegradable additives for plastic film; he opened an office in Shanghai for commodity sales and manufacturing supervision. More recently, since 2015, he has been heavily involved with stock exchanges.
Over the past years, Earl has worked with brokerage firms raising tens of millions of dollars in capital for companies with the end goal of listing the companies on stock markets. Earl assisted with the brokering of the relationship which led to the establishment of the agreements of cooperation for a digital asset platform. Today, his focus is the development of new businesses and public listing on stock exchanges and the marketing of blockchain software platforms, including illions.com.
